Houston, Texas – July 20, 2024 – COHAP OUTREACH CORPORATION, a prominent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting and empowering disadvantaged communities, is proud to announce an extraordinary initiative to make a significant difference in the lives of underprivileged children. The organization is sponsoring a back-to-school drive bash at Sweetwater Point Apartments, a low-income apartment complex in Houston, to provide essential school supplies for children in need. The event is scheduled for July 20, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 7909 S. Sam Houston Pkwy E, Houston, TX 77075.
As we move past the devastation of Hurricane Beryl, which impacted so many lives, COHAP OUTREACH CORPORATION has already fed over 160 people with hot meals and provided cold drinks. This upcoming event is a continuation of our commitment to community support and development. Our annual back-to-school drive is part of COHAP OUTREACH CORPORATION’S ongoing mission to ensure equal educational opportunities for all children, regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds. Many children in our community face challenges due to the lack of access to basic school supplies, including backpacks, shoes, hygiene kits, and other resources necessary for their educational journey. This event aims to equip school-aged residents of this low-income apartment complex with the tools they need for the upcoming school year.
The Back-to-School Bash Drive will feature live music entertainment, a DJ from Magic 102.1, resource vendors, food, raffle giveaways, local city officials, the press, and much more. We anticipate a significant turnout from the community, and the event will be a wonderful opportunity to bring joy and support to those in need.
