This high-impact community event will bring together hundreds of families, youth, and leaders to celebrate, empower, and equip over 1,600 underserved children with essential school supplies, services, and support. This Thanksgiving, COHAP is partnering with Operation Turkey Houston – South Central Area is uniting local businesses, community partners, and compassionate individuals to serve over 1,000 families in need. Along with warm holiday meals, we’re assembling 1,000 hygiene kits filled with essential personal care items — because everyone deserves to feel clean, cared for, and valued.

COHAP OUTREACH CORPORATION is proud to host a car show and music festival fundraising event with a noble purpose at its heart. With a deep commitment to serving our community’s most vulnerable members, particularly our esteemed Veterans, domestic violence victims and aged-out foster care young adults facing homelessness, this event is a beacon of hope and support. The staggering reality of homelessness among Veterans and aged-out foster care youth in Texas cannot be ignored, prompting us to take action. Through this event, we aim to raise funds vital for purchasing two multi-unit buildings for renovation into residential housing, along with a brick-and-mortar establishment to centralize all our programs. Additionally, we’re working towards acquiring single-family homes to establish group living arrangements, ensuring that no foster care youth has to worry about housing upon turning eighteen. This initiative extends beyond mere shelter; it’s about fostering stability, empowerment, and the beginnings of homeownership. As CEO Natasha Wilson emphasizes, “Everyone deserves a place to call home.” However, this mission cannot be achieved alone. It requires the collective effort of our community to build, uplift, and strengthen the lives of those in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference and address the pressing homeless crisis facing our Veterans and aged-out foster care youth.
